The First Night..

We're transitioning Saige from her crib into a toddler bed. While in Utah, she climbed out of her pack in play like it was the easiest thing and now she has been climbing out of her crib. That scares me alot so we decided to put her bed up. She seemed excited at first but then almost scared. Here is saige progressing threw the night...Step 1.. Happy excited!Sleepy and thinking "ummm, I don't know about this but i'll try""Im so tired, I don't know mom. Dont leave."Passed out but not in the bed right in front of her door.We then but her back into bed.. next time we checked she was on the floor again in front of the door but when we opened the door it woke her up. So this last pic is the final pic of the night when we went to check on her, she was actually in bed, asleep! yeah!! Does anyone have any ideas of how to make it more comfortable for them to like their bed or any ideas of how to deal?

ahh, she is so cute sleeping in front of the door! We are going through the same problem right now but Kayden's bed has a rail on the side Maybe you could try to get something like that and put it up?

You could use a rail or We couldn't afford one when we got our kids bunk beds. Brooklyn needed the rail more since she was on top but mase we just put pillows on the floor right beside his bed so if he did roll off he wasn't scared. My sister in law placed her daughter's matress right on the floor until she felt comfortable with the big bed then graduated to a bed with a frame. either way give her time to adjust. She'll learn to like it in no time. good luck. looks like you had a fun night.

We bought a side rail at Babies R Us but then discovered that if you stick a pillow length-wise under the covers next to her body on the open side of her bed. Lex felt safe and never fell out!

Good luck!
