Saige has been stripping her pants and diaper lately. No matter how many times we dress her again as soon as we turn our back... they're off again! I don't know what to do. At first I thought, ok, maybe she's ready to use the potty. So yesterday we tried. She went twice in the potty and the one time she was in the kitchen and I guess knew she had to go cause she turned around said "a pee" and ran to her potty and went! I thought wow! did I get lucky. ha! no! today we tried and after peeing twice on the floor and then stripping and peeing a third time on her bedroom floor while she was supposed to be napping, mommie had it and gave up. So anyone with help! How do we keep her clothed?? Has anyone elses kids gone through this. I'm feeling helpless. I'm not sure i'm loving this age 2 thing. haha Is there a way to change your name so you don't hear "MOMMA" so much! Just kidding. Saige is getting even more fun but we could do without the new found stripping and tantrums. But anyways... anyone with some clues?

So Wyatt has done the same thing except his was the poop and he would smear it into the carpet. Not very fun. So I bought onesies and then for a while he couldn't unsnap them so his diaper stayed on. But this week he learned how to unsnap. Also he learned he could just reach in and pull the poop out of the diaper and smear it. But the onesies worked for a couple of months for us. Hope this helps. I am not keen on the 2 year old age either but it does get better or should I say it gets different with other trials as they get older.
So I'm not sure about the staying dressed thing. But as far a using the potty, the thing that has really helped us is that I don't ask Dani if she needs to use the potty. I just tell her its time to go every hour and a half - two hours or so. Then I sit her on the potty and she usually goes. She's finally starting to tell me that she needs to go about 50% of the time. Hope this helps!
Oh Mason loved to strip too! He'll be 3 in June. All I can say is they grow out of it. Brook did at least. As far as potty training- Brooklyn would not use a little potty she had to go in the big one so we bought her a little stool and I just kept asking her if she needed to go. when she did go, we mad a huge deal out of it so she was proud of herself. I usually put a pull up or diaper on her for nap and bedtime and make sure she doesn't drink anything right before sleeping. Pretty soon Brook didn't need a diaper at all awak or asleep. Mason is another story. I think he may be a bed wetter and I just ask him every 10 min cause he still hasn't learned to tell me before he goes in her underpants. Oh he loves to tell me when he farts or poops but after the fact. haha just don't get too upset when she has an accident or it may scare her away from trying. Try to sing songs or tell her make the water yellow or brown. That helps with my kids at least. Hope this helps! Be strong and do what feels best to you. If you feel like waiting don't let anyone guilt you into it. Saige will be ready when she is and will let you know when.
I promise, they grow out of the stripping thing and potty training will happen. One time, Rachel was at the neighbor's house in his little pool and decided she was hot and took off her swimsuit. I wasn't watching and my neighbor said, "Yeah,it was the good little mormon girl that got naked at the neighbors." I was humiliated. I've since learned to take it in stride because I know eventually they keep their clothes on.
Duct tape...lots and lots of duct tape.
your welcome. She'll probably go back and forth with good and bad days too. Brooklyn still every once in a while has an accident only because she get so distracted and she holds it till the last second. My Dr. said girls tend to do that. I just went everywhere with a plastic sack, extra panties and extra shorts. Thats the life of a todler after all. :o) good luck!
I have no advice for you! I would like to know when Trey will be ready to potty train. When you get some great ideas let me know. Have you heard yet from Utah?
Well, my kids haven't gotten naked, but Tyler had his accidents. I agree with everyone just keep at it. If you give up then she will give up. Try rewards. Make a potty chart and if she goes for a whole week buy her a prize. Let her put the sticker on the chart that way she knows that she is doing good. Give her some M&M's everytime she goes potty. When she has an accident tell her it's ok, and then follow her around. I constently had to follow Tyler everywhere he went! He finally caught on. She will too. Just be patient. Good Luck and tell me how it goes!
