April showers bring May flowers...

I can't believe the last time I wrote was about Christmas! I have so many stories and pictures about our girls to post. I'll start with this one. The other day we were running out the door and I went downstairs to grab something. I came upstairs looking for Saige and she was missing? I looked out the front door and who comes waltzing over with at least 15 daffodils in her hand. :o All I could think was holy cow! Please don't tell me she pick ALL of our neighbors flowers. Well after driving past her house and seeing that ALL of her vibrant yellow flowers, which by the way, were the only flowers blooming in her yard, were gone I knew i'd be in trouble. Well bad news travels fast and I'm guessing our neighbor across the street saw Saige in her happy picking and called our flower neighbor to share the story. Our neighbor with the flowers then text me telling me to tell Saige she is very upset and that she'd talk to me when she got home. GULP! BUSTED! When I asked Saige why she picked them she explained how she wanted to put yellow in her room. haha too funny! Well our neighbor was super nice about it and all she wanted was for the picked flowers to come back to her house so she could have the sunshine in her room. Oh little girls. Aren't they fun?

3 Christmas's

11 Step Program For Those Thinking Of Having Kids

Lesson 1
1. Go to the grocery store.

2. Arrange to have your salary paid directly to their head office.

3. Go home.

4. Pick up the paper.

5. Read it for the last time.

Lesson 2
Before you finally go ahead and have children, find a couple who already are parents and berate them about their...

1. Methods of discipline.

2. Lack of patience.

3. Appallingly low tolerance levels.

4. Allowing their children to run wild.

5. Suggest ways in which they might improve their child's breastfeeding, sleep habits, toilet training, table manners, and overall behavior.

Enjoy it because it will be the last time in your life you will have all the answers.

Lesson 3
A really good way to discover how the nights might feel...

1. Get home from work and immediately begin walking around the living room from 5PM to 10PM carrying a wet bag weighing approximately 8-12 pounds, with a radio turned to static (or some other obnoxious sound) playing loudly. (Eat cold food with one hand for dinner)

2. At 10PM, put the bag gently down, set the alarm for midnight, and go to sleep.

3. Get up at 12 and walk around the living room again, with the bag, until 1AM.

4. Set the alarm for 3AM.

5. As you can't get back to sleep, get up at 2AM and make a drink and watch an infomercial.

6. Go to bed at 2:45AM.

7. Get up at 3AM when the alarm goes off.

8. Sing songs quietly in the dark until 4AM.

9. Get up. Make breakfast. Get ready for work and go to work (work hard and be productive)

Repeat steps 1-9 each night. Keep this up for 3-5 years. Look cheerful and together.

Lesson 4
Can you stand the mess children make? T o find out...

1. Smear peanut butter onto the sofa and jam onto the curtains.

2. Hide a piece of raw chicken behind the stereo and leave it there all summer.

3. Stick your fingers in the flower bed.

4. Then rub them on the clean walls.

5. Take your favorite book, photo album, etc. Wreck it.

6. Spill milk on your new pillows. Cover the stains with crayons. How does that look?

Lesson 5
Dressing small children is not as easy as it seems.

1. Buy an octopus and a small bag made out of loose mesh.

2. Attempt to put the octopus into the bag so that none of the arms hang out.

Time allowed for this - all morning.

Lesson 6
Forget the BMW and buy a mini-van. And don't think that you can leave it out in the driveway spotless and shining. Family cars don't look like that.

1. Buy a chocolate ice cream cone and put it in the glove compartment.

Leave it there.

2. Get a dime. Stick it in the CD player.

3. Take a family size package of chocolate cookies. Mash them into the back seat. Sprinkle cheerios all over the floor, then smash them with your foot.

4. Run a garden rake along both sides of the car.

Lesson 7
Go to the local grocery store. Take with you the closest thing you can find to a pre-school child. (A full-grown goat is an excellent choice). If you intend to have more than one child, then definitely take more than one goat. Buy your week's groceries without letting the goats out of your sight. Pay for everything the goat eats or destroys. Until you can easily accomplish this, do not even contemplate having children.

Lesson 8
1. Hollow out a melon.

2. Make a small hole in the side.

3. Suspend it from the ceiling and swing it from side to side.

4. Now get a bowl of soggy Cheerios and attempt to spoon them into the swaying melon by pretending to be an airplane.

5. Continue until half the Cheerios are gone.

6. Tip half into your lap. The other half, just throw up in the air.

You are now ready to feed a nine- month-old baby.
Lesson 9Learn the names of every character from Sesame Street , Barney, Disney, the Teletubbies, and Pokemon. Watch nothing else on TV but PBS, the Disney channel or Noggin for at least five years. (I know, you're thinking What's 'Noggin'?) Exactly the point.
Lesson 10Make a recording of Fran Drescher saying 'mommy' repeatedly. (Important: no more than a four second delay between each 'mommy'; occasional crescendo to the level of a supersonic jet is required). Play this tape in your car everywhere you go for the next four years. You are now ready to take a long trip with a toddler.

Lesson 11
Start talking to an adult of your choice. Have someone else continually tug on your skirt hem, shirt- sleeve, or elbow while playing the 'mommy' tape made from Lesson 10 above. You are now ready to have a conversation with an adult while there is a child in the room.

Old St. Nick and Temple Square

Does anyone else have trouble picking out pictures for your blog?? I always want to put all of them on. Haha sometimes I do.. So this year we went to Temple square with Devin and Kelly Drews cousins. It was so much fun! Every time we go there I swear the spirit is stronger and stronger. Its so beautiful and just reminds me of how sacred it is. The lights at Christmas are always awesome! This year, I guess is the year that didn't have as many lights. Every other year they do the lights on every tree. The girls had a blast and we had fun with the cousins. We sure do love that Jaynes family! Heres us outside the pink forest.

These are some pictures of the fun things that we did in the fall. The girls loved the leaves in our yard! We made pill after pill to jump in. Of course, Saiges bff peedee had to come along (Side note on peedee... She was my baby doll when I was little).

Beijing and Shanghai Pitures

Yes! We're still alive! Back to China.. These pictures are from Beijing. Our hotel was right down the road from this little cafe that served American food. We're talking pancakes, eggs, cheeseburgers, lasagna, french fries and orange juice! Oh, it was heaven! It was my favorite place to eat. The people were awesome, they had free Internet and if you eat there 3 times then you get to sign there wall. So we ate there like 4 times and got to sign the wall.

Here is the forbidden city which was way cool but totally packed. It was really hot (like always) so Wom, me and Sadie skipped threw it and went to our nice air condition hotel. Megan, Drew, Dad and Logan stayed and toured the entire place.

Here we are on a train thingy that takes you from the airport to another stop that you can get on the train or where ever. It went super fast. I'm regretting not posting about our trip sooner cause I can't remember half the names of things.

In Shanghai we went on a night cruise to check out the lights of the city. This was walking in the city along the port waiting to go on the boat. Oh it was so pretty.

This pic was from the worlds fair we hit up in Shanghai. I was a little skeptical of it and didn't really want to go but I am so glad I did. It was awesome!!! The buildings were so fun to see. Of course this was the highlight of Drew's trip. This and one other place I will show in a sec.

Wow are these pics out of order. This is us at the one show we went to. It was awesome! It was an acrobatics show where the china people stuffed a million people in a tub, rode motor bikes and crashed (not on purpose) and lots more crazy things. Needless to say IT WAS AWESOME!!!

This is still in that park that we hiked in. This was a cave thing we walked threw. If you look at what we're wearing/ holding it was a pretty usual day to see us packing our fans. Its crazy hot/humid there. I liked it though. You felt so fresh like you were sweating all the yucky stuff out of your body.

This was another awesome cafe we found but this time in Shanghai! There food was better then the one in Beijing but we didn't find this until like the day before we left. It had awesome food like pasta and sandwiches. The atmosphere was pimp here!

oh boy!!! Here it is! By far my very very VERY Favorite thing that we did!!!! The Great Wall of China! Holy cow was it awesome or what! The feeling you get there is just awesome. What the people went threw to build this just amazes me. Its almost like you can feel them there. Here we all are at the beginning. ps yes we did drink all that water!

I found this blog a while ago on my friend Laurens blog. I just think this family, the Sullengers, are amazing and read their blog a lot. I've been keeping track of their story and I just feel of their Spirit so strong every time I read it. Any parent can understand their struggle, their heart aching as they write to us. But you are inspired by their knowledge of the Gospel and how they live it as they try and live their days without their little girl. Right now they are asking for donations to make baskets for the parents struggling with similar stories at Primary Childrens Hospital as a gesture for their daughters birthday. I just wanted to spread the word through my blog for them. Read their story. It starts here... It is amazing, sad but inspirational journey all wrapped in one. On to city # 2 -Xi'an

Stop two was another small city called Xi'an. I don't remember it to well because the first night were there I got sick. Yuck! We ate at this place called the hot pot. They give you a pot with broth in it and light a fire under it. You wait till the broth boils and then add a bunch of stuff to cook. They had slices of lamb and beef, all sorts of vegetables, noodles and of course you eat it with rice. It was really yummy actually but when we got to our room and into bed, I had trouble staying out of the bathroom. I woke up the next morning feeling like garbage but still wanted to go see the Terra-Cotta warriors. How could I miss that. I'm so glad that I went because it was flipping awesome! Its amazing that they made these things to protect the tomb of the emperor. I can't remember many details about how long they take or anything but I remember thinking WOW! If you ever get to hit up China, go here. Its sweet. The first pic is some of the warriors. They were all lined up and facing a certain way, like a battle routine.
Here is some more of the room with the warriors. They used to be beautifully painted but when the undug them the sun made the paint dissolve. If you look you can see some of the warriors and crushed. When they found these warriors they had been that way, smashed. Back in the day there was a revolt and they ruined the tomb. If you look closer you can see the walls. Each row was encased in rooms with ceilings and walls.

This was the best view to show the whole room. Excuse the kill me now face. You can see the camera isn't even pointed to show the whole room. It was gigantic and that was only the one room. There is 2 more! Each room with its own meaning.

So these pictures start our second day in Xi'an. They are backwards so maybe start from the bottom but it doesn't really matter which way. We went to check out the city wall. It surrounded the whole old city of Xi'an. It was really neat. Before they opened the gates of the city they put on a little show and then let down the bridge over the mot. We rented tandem bikes and did the entire wall on them. It took FOREVER! At the end it started to ran so it was funny. Thankfully I was feeling a little better. It came off and on. One of the sweetest things about China is they don't really use toilet paper and 99% of their toilets are squatters. So ya being sick in China, No Bueno! I'll have to post a pic of a toilet. It was nasty! Anyways, this pic was when we were probably half way around the city wall. The building is classic Chinese architecture. Everyone was thankful for the little break.

China, Day One- Guilin

I'm finally posting things on our blog. So much has happened I can't even begin to start, but I gotta start somewhere. I picked China since I have the pics on this computer and the memories are pretty fresh in my mind. So China was Awesome! I'm not going to do all the pics in one day cause shoot! We were gone for two weeks so it would take hours. Plus blogger is being sweet and I have to load the pics one at a time. Anyways to get started. My generous in laws took all of their chitlins on their 30th anniversary trip. Sweet eh! So for two weeks we explored China. We left August 7th from LAX. We flew to Canada and then took off for our 12 hour flight to Shanghai. We landed in Shanghai at 2pm on Sat and jumped on another 2 1/2 hour flight to Guilin. We got to Guilin around 930pm Saturday and by then we were pooped! We were so excited to jump into our nice soft beds. Now that's a joke! We jumped onto our bed face first, arms straight out to land upon a nice hard box spring. Yup, they sleep on box springs with a thin pad. It took some getting used to but either way, soft bed or not, we were just so happy to be able to sleep. The plane from Canada to China was awesome though. We watched movies the whole time so the trip went quick. After a nice nights sleep we got on our tour bus and headed for our LiRiver cruise. The cruise took us through a beautiful area of the river. They say the most scenic part of china. An area of the cruise that we passed is on one of their bills. We ate a traditional meal with meats in sauces that even if I could guess what meat it was I would probably be wrong but still was pretty good. They finish all their meals with watermelon so that was the yummiest part. We got off at Yangshuo where we enjoyed shopping all the little markets. IT WAS AWESOME!!! I got a purse, a panting and Drew got a watch that was a Rolex'. A Rolex that every night would stop working and he'd have to reset the time. haha Quality! We dabbled in there 'milkshakes' which consisted of warm milk and fruit. Not cold at all. We then ate pizza from a different cafe and were so thankful for western food. After shopping and what not we headed back to the bus. We walked the streets of Guilin at night for a little then headed back to our hotel. We got up and ate from a little market down the road. We ate bread alot because thats what we knew. The people there eat noodles alot or they'll eat this dumplings with stuff in them. They have vendors all over the street selling this. After breakfast, we headed to the airport to get onto our plan to xi'an. Stay tuned for day 5 of our trip... now to explain our pics. They are completely backwards. The cruise is at the end and the end is at the beginning. In this pic we were done shopping and waiting at one of the nicer hotels in yangshuo. Can I just say, China is so flippin hot! you literally sweat none stop all day! Guilin was probably the hottest city we were in though. In the pic from left to right.. Has it seriously been 2 months since i've written?? Buying, fixing and moving into a house sure does consume your days. I promise I will post pics of our house fixed up and some way cute pics of the girls as soon as i'm done unpacking. I've been band from hanging/decorating (by Drew) until all the boxes are unpacked. hmm.. thats the fun part right? The decorating. Bummer! I gotta get on that! In a month we'll be in CHINA!! Bet we'll have some sweet pics from that! Ahh! I gotta hurry unpacking then so i don't fall to behind on pics and cute happenings. Well.. back to boxes I go. Promise it won't be another month before i'm back. Oh and HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!

Lillie has 4 teeth!!! 2 front teeth and her 2 bottom teeth! I want to shoot "STOP GROWING!!!" She also does a pretty sweet army crawl. Drew teases her all the time cause she looks so funny/cute doing it. Boy does she move!

Our New Home...

So its not perfect but its ours. We have so many plans for it we just want to get in there and get to it! So... here are some pics of before the re do and i'll post some pics after. It has 5 bedrooms, 3 baths, granite coutertops, and its in a nice neighborhood with a big back yard. We're really excited! We close May 1st, my birthday. Awesome b-day present a?? For the front I wand to put white shutters up and we're building a garage. Gardens will of course make things look better and maybe a mailbox that isn't hanging by a thread next to the door. :) Heres the kitchen. Where i'm standing is our dinning room. We need appliances and a nice big table!

Here is the fireplace in the front room when you first walk in. See that big window? We're replacing all the windows and that one we are going to make into three and have the two side ones open.and here... is our back yard. There is a big deck to the left of me that is covered.

I haven't posted pictures in like a week or so, so I took some yesterday of the girls while they were watching a movie and playing. I love watching them together. Saige was gone for the weekend and when she got home Lillie just smiled from ear to ear. She loves her big sister so much and luckily the feeling is mutual. When Saige came home she ran and gave me a hug and then asked wheres Lillie, I wanna see Lillie. What can I say, i'm just one lucky momma.

I haven't gotten her 6 month pictures taken yet so i've been doing some at home. I need to get hers done. We did Saiges every 6 months for the first 2 years because they change so much in that time.

Oh saige.. She is always putting on my shoes but, not just any shoes my heals. Did I mention she hates clothes and seriously strips to her panties every chance she gets. Our little princess. It was the first time we ever did makeup. She absolutely thought it was the best thing ever!

Before I completely forget I wanted to write about the cute things Saige has been saying. She is growing up so fast and I swear I don't write enough about her cute little doings. So the other day I was trying to get her to clean her room and she wasn't listening so I kept saying Saige come on, Saige come on. She then turned to me put her hand up like whatever and said easy momma easy. I couldn't help but laugh. I thought WHAT??!! where the heck did she learn that. It was too funny. She has done it a few other times since and each time I just laugh (i'm normally upset so its nice to have a little laugh). Another new thing is, when it is time to eat she always says but momma, I just ate. I had pancakes and syrup and eggs i'm not hungry. Haha Ya like 4 hours ago!! and last but not least her two favorite sayings... Me trying to have her do something, anything really and her response is.. Momma i'm too tired or Momma i'm too irsty (thirsty) No matter what she could have just downed an entire glass of water and she says i'm too irsty to do that. Its so funny! I love how she says it. oh ya and one minute momma one minute! thats another favorite! Well thats it for now. Just thought i'd share a little sunshine from my day!

Soccer!!

Spring is coming soon enough and Saige will be 3 in a month. This means... she can play soccer, join dance, gymnastics, cheerleading (what!!! I know I thought the same thing) the world of super fun things is being opened to her. Drew is totally wanting her to be in soccer (gotta have his little tom boy) I kinda do too. Its sooo cheap compared to dance. Its like 250 dollar difference! Crazy, right?? I'm looking into little soccer teams and possibly a dance class. I know shes young but at this age its more for her to just get out and have some fun structure. Anyways... Does anyone know of someone in the salt lake area that teaches either one? We're going to test out little gym today (doubt we'll go there, too much $$$). Any ideas would be SPLENDID!!! :)

Can you see my babies sweet little white teeth?? Why is she doing things so much faster then Saige? It isn't right, ya know. She's supposed to stay little longer. It makes me so sad! Lillie is rolling over from back to front and from front to back all over our floors. She rolls to what she wants and rolls till she can't roll any more. She is eating cereal, fruits and veggies like a little champ! Here she is having a ball under her toy mat. Ya her favorite part is the tag.

I am so thankful for my beautiful, sweet little girls. Some times I think what the heck were we thinking? and then I find them snuggling so saige will say something sweet and I remember why I love them so dang much. I'm so thankful for my hard working and loving husband. He would run himself day and night (which he practically does) just to support our family so that I am able to stay home and raise our children. I'm just so thankful for everything I have, all the things that go by un-noticed until you sit down and think about what makes the day go by happily. Thanks babe for being such a dang knock out!!!

Our Lillie bug is getting so big. Shes starting to be interested in things. She loves her feet, hands and anything, I mean anything, she can stick in her mouth. She has two teeth, her bottom two. She weighs 16 Ibs 3 oz! What a heffer right! Shes in the 75th percential in weight and 90th in height and head. I wish time would stop.

I am so thankful that I got these pictures of my grandad and the girls. I am so glad he got to meet Lillie. My grandaddy passed away January 4 of a heartattack. We never thought the day would come. Seriously, we thought he'd out live us all. I am so glad we were able to be back East when this happened so that we could attend his funeral. I still can't believe he is gone. It sad because they are selling his house so one day we won't have it there any more. It was our first home. The home Saige was raised in. The first home for drew and I. I keep thinking we are going to go back and he'll be there with his little toothless smile. We are at peace knowing he is up there with my grammy. He loved nothing more than her. We know he is enjoying the use of his legs. I bet he's dancing and running like mad. We will miss you grandad.

Sam proposed to Katelyn on Christmas evening. It was so fun cause we all were there to see it. We went to Katelyns house for dessert. We brought her stocking the sam 'forgot'. Sam tied her ring to the end of a charm bracelet so she wouldn't have a clue and then put it in the bottom of her stocking. She dumped it out and went right to the box. it snowed like crazy!! it snowed the entire weekend we were in DC so we were unable to go to all the places we had planned but still had a fun time. It was so nuts! We tried to go to Target which was really close to our hotel but it was closing so didn't get alot of time there. All the food places were closed also. We had to eat at a hotel restaurant. It was so fun though. While at target we bought some games and played them. Here is a pic of a few cars covered in snow.It was a ton! Sammy and I in the car on our way to DC.

So before we left for pa we went house hunting. More like we went house dreaming. While doing it we found this cute little house. Its like 3 streets from the U and has an awesome yard, 2 car garage in back and a porch!!! I sooo want it. We figure if in a year its still up we might get it. My sweet little two year old surprised me once again tonight. It was 2 hours past her bedtime and she was still in her room playing. She had tucked her baby in bed and was lying by her door calling for me. I went into her room to see what it is she wanted. This is what she expressed to me in the most astonished little voice... "Mommie! Look! My hands are growing! See (as she shows me her hands)!" Then she stands up and says "I'm growing! Lillies growing! Mommies growing! Lillies gonna walk! Ah!! Monsters growing!!!" These are the nights that I love my job more than anything else in the world.

Saiges famous words... "i'm naked!!" She loves stripping down to her birthday suit and yelling that. Problem now.. we keep finding her like this at night (see picture). She goes to bed and when we go to kiss her goodnight before we go to bed she is completly naked. We were re dressing her but now after about a week of doing so, we end up just slipping panties on and calling it good. Anyone else have this problem?? Is it a normal two year old thing or is it just our silly girl?

Mommie and Daddy have learned we really need to watch of mouths. I guess the saying little pictures have big ears is sooo true! Drew and I didn't realize how much saige soaks in while listening to us. The example... Saige spilled water while brushing her teeth and said "oh crap!" funny for the moment but then when the next day came and once again she said "oh crap" for something else. So thats when I set her down and had to give her a beat down. haha jk. I explained that crap wasn't a nice word and we should say oh shoot instead but after she repeated it I realized how close it sounded to another word. We settled with "oh dang it!" Its funny cause she thinks its so fun to say! She hit over some baby food and said "oh crap" i mean "oh dang it!" Man, Two year olds are so flippin cute!

This pic is from yesterday when Drew gave Saiger a bath. Holy cow is her hair long! You can't tell cause of her curls but boy! is it long! Saige always wants to hold Lillie and after about 1 minute she is done. Here she was telling poppa "i'm done!"

And so was Lillie.. Aw!! Here is our fun trip up the canyon. I love doing this! It is so yummy to roast hot dogs and marshmellow smores. We invited a whole bunch of people but I guess we are lame married people and no one really wants to chill with us. haha :) But we did rop in our new BFFs Sarah and Rob. They are sooo fun! Sarah is going to school for nursing so of course we get along :) and Rob is in architecture school with Drew, so of course they get along. I keep saying man i feel like we're dating them. I get excited to hang out with them again. Its so funny once you're married and have kids how so much changes. Its nice to have friends again. ps.. I had to write this before I forgot all about saiges cuteness or should I say terribleness. The other day I took saige to the dentist for the first time. She did...ok. She wouldn't open her mouth for x rays without alot of begging and pledding and promising all sorts of things. When she finally did she wouldn't bite on the thing far enough to get a good pic. Then when the dentist came in she freaked out! She loved the lady that helped but not so much the dentist. At the end though they gave her a bag of goodie (toothbrush and paste, a little flosser thing) and she got 2 stickers and 2 toys. Boy, was she in heaven or what. well the tooth paste had a little tag in the top when you remove the lid so you know it wasn't used so I totally thought saige would be ok with it at bed time keeping it on the back of her bed. Yes, saige has a little obsession with hording things on the back of her bed at night. Like I said before, she always has to have her cars and water but it grows almost everynight with the things she obsessed with that day. Like her cell phones, balls and like here everything she got from the dentist. Anyways, she had been in her room for probably a half hour or so when I hear her calling me from under her door, "momma! my hands!" so I drag my lazy butt off the couch to see what my little stink wants. I open the door (didn't turn on the light) and said "what??"

She replied "my hands are all yucky I need to clean them" I kept thinking on our way to the bath room dirty with what? buggies? When we were in the bathroom getting ready to wash them off I noticed a blue brown (dirty) film all over her hands. I asked her what it was and she said huh? (the typical answer from saige when she doesn't know how to answer) so I went to her room to see what was all over her hands. Well... I turn on the light and to my surprise I find toothpaste on EVERYTHING!!! Yes everything. The light switch, the floor, her bed, all three blankies (which got it the worst) and the wall. AHHH!! so I washed her hands, hid the toothpaste and put her to bed. Little stink! I'm just thankful it wasn't poo!

Yesterday was Drews cousin Devins little girl Aryannas 1st birthday party. They made it be a costume party which was soo fun! I forgot how much fun dressing up can be. We dressed Saige up as a duck and Lille as the lobster. Drew was a pimp and I was his hoe.... haha not really I was a fapper girl (still don't know what that is). Mom W, the girls and I went to Ogden to hord through Drews grandmas costume collection. Hence, we found the duck, my dress and drews hat. We pieced it together and this is what we came up with. It was so fun! Me and my man!

Last night Lillie was sitting on my lap while I was reading and she had lots of tootie fruits (what saige calls gas). Well turns out it wasn't gas she was pooping all over me. Last week during school break we (whitehead fam) went to Moab. I had never been there and it was awesome!! We had so much fun hiking arches and sitting around the campfire roasting marshmellows and making yummy smores. It was soooo fun! It was great to get to spend time with Drew. I forgot how much I love him. I loved having the time with the girls and their daddy. Auh... vacation... camping so great...the mountains around usso prettyLillie the whole time. It was way cool the veiw..Finally at the arch. Saige freaked out the whole way up the hill. We went at a bad time, it was her nap time so she was un happy. She only wanted me to hold her which was so fun. NOT! I finally got her out of it by talking to her about cars. Lillies blessing day was so nice! I was soo thankful that my parents could be out here for it. Drews parents, Logan and Sadie, Tyson, Jessica and Atlas, Zach and Callie, Devin, Kelly and Ary, and Sarah and Ethan were also there. It was so nice to have them with us for Lillies special day. So I have another post about Lillies blessing sunday but Lillie is crying so I can't post it right now but I will. :) quick update... Lillie had her 2 month appt. yesterday which meant the dreaded shots. She has been so unhappy ever since. Pour little thing got three shots. She weighs 12 Ibs 1 oz and is 22 1/2 inches long I forget what her head was but she is in the 95th percent for everything except for heighth to weight shes in the 75th percent for that. Everything is great with her though! i'll post about the blessing soon!

These pictures are so out of order. Normally I can move them around but this time it wouldn't let me. Anyways.. This past weekend was soo fun. Drew had a pretty good schedual so we got to spend lots of time with him. We went to the gateway and played in the water. Finally she played in them. Normally shes kinda scared but this time she really had fun. That night we went and had a camp fire up in the mountains with our friends Mitch and Amy. We roasted weiners, smores and starburst. What an awesome night!! Sunday we went on a hike up to donut falls. On the movie cars they have this waterfall and saige loves it! So we have been wanting to take saige to see a waterfall. She LOVED it sooo much! We forgot that it would be cooler in the mountains and so we didn't bring any jackets. Thankfully Drew had one in the car and we got saige to wear it. Our little ET girl. haha In this first pic saige is climbing on the rocks. She loves jumping off of high things. running away from mommie and daddy at the top looking at the falls just playing towards the end saige got tired and cold and so did mommie..

These are a bunch of random pictures of my girlies. They are so fun! Saige is deep in the terrible 2s and boy am I paying for her being such a good baby. She is nuts!! Lately she has been peeing her pants just because. hmm attention getter you think? I think yes! Hopefully this will pass quickly. Lillie is getting so flippin cute! I could just eat her up! She is starting to smile alittle. I finally caught a half smile. Her personality is just so different then Saige it blows my mind. I'm training her to be a surgeon, every night we watch re-runs of greys anatomy after Saige is in bed. Of course half the time she is sleeping but still. haha I love the time I have with her at night. In the day its alot of Saige. Drew is loving school. It seems alot easier because he knows most of what they are teaching from Mercer the last 2 years. He is looking and praying for a new job. We really hope he gets something new. Home Depot bites big time! There's nothing much new with me. Just chillin with the chitlins. Some days are tougher then others but guess what.. My parents come out in 13 days!! WOHOO! I can't believe we've been in Utah for almost 2 months. Thats just crazy. Anyways here a some pics mostly of Lillie (its the new born thing) :). Its so hard to get Saige to stand still. Enjoy! Yesterday for labor day Drew, Lillie, Logan, Sadie and I had the bright idea of going on a hike(Saige was with grandma and poppa in Cedar City). So Drew looked into several hikes and we decided on the 7 mile hike up Mt. Olympus. The page explaining the hike said it was easy, virtually anyone could do it. So we headed out to accomplish it. Well... this being really, my first hike and without proper shoes (all drew and I had were skate shoes) I am proud to say we made it about a mile in and decided turn around and go swimming instead! haha Hey! I just had a kid a month ago k. Drew and Logan tease me that we didn't hike mt. olympus we hiked to the foot of mt. olympus. ya.. next time! It was way fun though and I seriously want to tackle this mountain before the season ends. The view, even from where we stopped was awesome. One of the great things about Utah is the outdoor activities. I wanna make hiking a sport I get into.. Here are some pics documenting our hike. :) The 5 of us.. The view from our ending point..

Well our little peanut is a month old already! Can you believe it? Where does the time go? In the month we've gotten to know Lillie and her cute little ways. She is so completely different then Saige was. Saige slept all the time where as Lillie is awake a good portion of the day. She loves just looking esspecially at saige. She always has this look like shes upset or something. I think she's just taking it all in. She smiles and giggles in her sleep a lot. She is one noisy baby! She is always making grunting noises, i'm talking all the time!! She loves being held and snuggled. Saige never was like that. She liked her space. Lillie would sleep so well if I had her in our bed snuggled into me saige on the other hand wouldn't sleep. She prefered the basinet. I think her eyes are going to be a real light blue like Drews. They are so light now and have this white ring in the middle. Her hair,eye brows and lashes are even lighter then Saiges were. I can't wait to watch them grow and see who Lillie turns out to look more like. So far, everyone says she looks like me! I couldn't be happier! here are some pics of the last month of our girls! Wow! Am I behind! On August 5th at 3:29 am Lillie Elizabeth was born 8Ibs even. The little stink had the cord wraped completely around her neck and then 3 times around her body. Thank goodness she came out ok.

This was Saiges first time meeting Lillie. She looked at her like this then turned to me with a scrunched up smile and in a whisper said "OHH!! She so cute!"

What a blessing it has been to be able to have another sweet spirit in our home. She is truely a blessing. This pregnancy was so different from saige. I really enjoyed being pregnant. I enjoyed every move she made. After she was born I was sad that she was no longer with me 24/7. This was a first for me cause with Saige I just was so done with being pregnant. I just feel really blessed to have two beautiful little girls. They make me so happy. Being a mom is great (on most days)!! ;)

What is it with summer and no one blogging??? Summer has takin my blogging urge away. Its just something about finding the dang camera cord and loading up the pics that doesn't seem appealing. BUT I'm doing it. So heres a bit of our summer at a quick glance. The happenings are kinda backwards... WE....Moved across the US to Utah where Drew will be going to school full time to acheive his bachelors in architecture... When I say we I mean Drew and his brother Logan. haha I'm still in Jersey till Baby 2 comes.... Drew returns home to us this Wednesday! We can't wait to have him back.We played lots at grammies house water her gardens and playing in the pool and hot tub.Enjoyed the summer rain showers and the puddles they bring...coloring on those rainy days...Baking with grammie...Playing in the park with daddy, mommie and grammie...Peek-a-boo!!Lots and LOTS of snuggling!!! Poppy and Saige...Grammie and Saige...singing with grammie...Chillin on the hamock at the camper...chillaxin with poppy...she always falls asleep with poppy...Our last time camping with the fam at the camper...Snarly faces...getting caught playin in the bird bath...getting caught sneaking marshmellows...And ending our time with fireworks!!

So we had another ultrasound Friday to check in our babies everything specifically her kidneys. Thankfully... they look normal now. Some other surprising news was that instead of measuring in at 32 weeks our little chuncker is measuring at 35 weeks for her stomach and femor and 37 weeks at her head! Dang whitehead heads! haha Like Drew says "its all brain!'. They schedualed us for another ultrasound on the 31st of July to see how big she is then. We'll find out today what my doc will do with this info. Here is a pic of her side view. I love how you can really see her lips and noes. Looks like a grandpa whitehead lip, what do you think grandma?? Our entire ultra sound our little bugger was moving like crazy. We got to watch her breath in and out and my favorite part was when she was sucking on her fingers and then she would start to play with her little toes. Oh!! it was the best!!

Boston/Maine Excursion

This past weekend we left to got check out Boston and then up to Maine to visit my aunt who I hadn't seen in over 10 years! It was great getting to see her and meet her husband. We had such a fun time visiting it was like we had just hung out with them or something. Anyways.. Here are some pics from our trip. Drew and I left on Friday because we wanted to stay a night in Boston. We met my parents in Maine the next day. These first pics are of a house we stopped out by Drews fav. architech... crud I can't remember his name. Its a pimp house! This is the front door... Nothing to write home about right?? But then you go to the back and its all glass like this. Its even more cool because it sits on this hill that over looks water. There are lighthouses and everything. I tried to get a pic but it was weird cause of the hill.Heres the other half of the house.This is the AWESOME deli we stopped at! WOW! was it good! Plus I just think Saige and daddy look too cute! Here I am being sweet. Drew wanted the dock?? in the background. I hate alone pics. Saige climbing up the anchor. That girl has no fear.Saige climbed into bed with us at 6 am and kicked me out. This is what I got up to find. Aren't they soo cute!!!Here we're already in Maine and on our way to check out the beach. Drew didn't get a pic but Noah was sitting next to Saige sleeping the same way. Saige has a thing with copying us. Poor poppy kept getting dragged back into the freezing ice water. Saige loved it and wouldn't let him stop.This pic is to show how cold the water is. Check out Jareds face. hahaSo cute.Our whole fam. Thats my aunt in the green. Its my dads sister. Can you tell?? My fam. I'm a lucky lady!The Christian bunch!3 generations....We went to see a lighthouse while we were in Maine. Saige loves to dance and loves the attention she gets while doing it!The day we left. Thats my aunt and her husband holding Saige. Funny story about these next pics.... So on our way home we made a detour to check out another house Drew really wanted to see. This house is called the glass house. The entire thing is glass. That brick cylinder is the bathroom. Anyways... we get there and this maintance guy is at the front gate. He tells us sorry the last tour was at 4. You couldn't see the house from the street. It was down a hill and like in the woods. Drew begged him to just let him run down and take some pics but the guy was a jack a and wouldn't let him go. So a disappointed Drew drove away. As you can tell he did get to see it... haha I convinced him to turn around and go back. The maintance guy was gone so I drove and he jumped out and ran down the hill to see the house we drove out of the way to see. Haha we were cracking up the whole time thinking we're being illegal! there wasn't any signs saying you weren't allowed to go see it so what the heck! The guy, I swear, was on a power trip. So here are the pics we had to sneak to get..

The furniture was designed just for this house.It is just a tiny square theres no seperate rooms or anything. He wanted it to feel like he was really living out in nature.This is the one side of the bathroom cylinder.Here is the tiny bathroom. How'd you like to live here...And that ended our adventure! What an ending huh! :)

Phantom of the Opera!

What an awesome play!! Our seats were so close we could see every emotion in their faces. We are spoiled now. How will we ever be able to go to a play with seats that are further back after this one. :) It was so fun to be able to spend the day with my parents in NY. We ate at this awesome pizza place (can't remember the name), it had like 3 floors and we got to sit on the top floor on the balcony area thing. It was really cool! It was just a great day! This is how Drew spent the train ride home... He had like 4 hours of sleep in 48 hrs so he was a bit tired. He noded out a few times during the show too. haha

Utah...HERE WE COME!!! Friday we got the letter saying that drew was excepted into the bachlors program for architecture! We had been waiting for that letter forever. So in July Drew will move to Utah and after we have the babe Saige and I will join him. He'll come back for the birth of course. haha We're excited and nervous and sad at the same time. What will tomorrow bring???

For our anniversary Drew got me these awesome flowers! I love flowers everytime I see them it makes me happy. But also.. Saturday my mom, dad, Drew and I are going to see the phantom of the opera on broadway!!! AHHH!!! I can't wait! I'm so excited its just 2 days away! Last year of our 2 years we saw it in Vegas so this year will be even more amazing! AHHH!!

Wow! Where does time go?? Drew and I have been married for 3 years today. What an amazing 3 years they have been. I'm so thankful to have such a sweet, understanding and worthy priesthood holder (oops almost forgot hottie) as my husband. He helps me grow everyday.
